Our Story
Architecture that
serves people
and place
Rayal Architects was founded by Aishwarya Bodineni on a conviction that has guided every project since: great architecture must honour both the people who inhabit it and the land it stands on.
As a 2025 IIT Kharagpur graduate with deep, hands-on industry experience, Aishwarya built a core team of fellow alumni who share a unified vision. The name Rayal pays homage to the Vijayanagara empire — master builders of South India who understood that enduring architecture grows from its landscape, community, and culture.
We bring immense technical rigour to the table, but to our clients, we are first and foremost listeners. From our studios in Bangalore and Kadapa, we believe the best projects start by sitting across from you, sharing a cup of chai, and building true trust one conversation at a time.
Philosophy
What We Believe
Context Over Style
Every site has a story. We listen to the land, the climate, and the community before drawing a single line.
Material Honesty
We choose materials for how they age, not just how they photograph. Kadapa stone, rammed earth, reclaimed timber — each one earns its place.
Collaborative Process
Architecture is a conversation. We work alongside clients, craftspeople, and consultants as partners, not vendors.
Rooted Locally
Based in Bangalore and Kadapa, we draw from South Indian vernacular traditions and source materials within 100 km whenever possible.
Team
The People Behind the Work
A close-knit studio of architects, designers, and sustainability specialists.

Aishwarya Bodineni
Principal Architect & Founder
An IIT Kharagpur graduate (2025) with rich hands-on industry experience, Aishwarya founded Rayal Architects to bridge the gap between rigorous technical precision and deeply human, relationship-first architecture. She believes great design starts with a handshake and a cup of chai, ensuring every project deeply reflects the lives of the people who inhabit it.

Vikram Reddy
Senior Design Architect
Also an IIT Kharagpur alumnus, Vikram brings a wealth of ground-level experience in translating complex design concepts into buildable realities. He leads technical coordination and site implementation, taking immense pride in clear communication with local contractors and flawless, stress-free execution.

Priya Sharma
Sustainability & Technical Lead
Drawing on her profound technical background from IIT Kharagpur, Priya ensures every Rayal project meets rigorous environmental performance targets without sacrificing warmth or comfort. She seamlessly blends high-tech environmental modeling with tangible, real-world sustainability outcomes.

Arjun Nair
Interior & Spatial Director
Arjun brings a refined eye for spatial clarity and structural integrity. A fellow IIT Kharagpur graduate, his approach prioritises honest material usage—like local Kadapa stone and reclaimed wood—ensuring every space feels both architecturally pristine and deeply inviting.
Process
How We Work
Four stages, one commitment: that the built outcome is true to the vision.
Listen
Every project begins with deep listening—to the client, the site, the climate, and the community. We conduct site walks, contextual studies, and extended conversations before putting pen to paper.
Envision
We translate listening into rapid conceptual iterations. With an advanced internal pipeline, we explore dozens of visual and spatial concepts in a fraction of the traditional time, allowing you to react and choose the strongest direction organically.
Refine
The chosen concept is developed in exacting detail. We use photorealistic, real-time walkthroughs to ensure you experience the space, light, and materials before construction begins. We leave no dimension unverified and no material to chance.
Realize
We remain deeply involved through construction, bringing rigorous, engineer-level precision to the site. We review every material delivery and coordinate with local contractors to keep the built outcome true to the vision.
